USAID Business Activity Archive & Analysis

Preserving Transparency in Development Reporting

This page safeguards and provides public access to key USAID business activity records from 2024, documents that have since been removed from official websites. These archives ensure that researchers, journalists, policymakers, and the public can review the original, unaltered records for accountability and historical reference.

Context & Why This Matters

In recent months, misleading claims have circulated suggesting that USAID was advancing agendas unrelated to its core mission. However, a review of the original 2024 USAID business activity reports reveals that certain accusations — such as claims of a “transgender agenda” — were unfounded. The term “trans” in the documents referred to “transboundary” ecosystem preservation in East Africa, not gender identity issues.
By maintaining an unaltered copy of these records, we ensure that fact-based analysis remains possible and that public discourse can rely on original sources rather than hearsay.

Our Analysis

Our review found:

  • All “trans” references pertain to transboundary conservation projects, particularly in East Africa.

  • There is no mention of transgender policy promotion or related agenda items.

  • Claims circulated online were deliberate misinterpretations designed to polarize public opinion.

Next Steps

When future versions of these reports are published, we will compare them to the original files preserved here to identify any changes, omissions, or bias introduced in later editions.
